We are seeking a Lead Test & Validation Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, compliance, and performance of HeartFocus iPad application (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/heartfocus/id6572298620), HeartFocus Portal website (https://portal.heartfocus.ai/), and internal software.
Mission
Lead Testing and Validation Software Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead the software testing and validation team to guarantee product quality and reliability.
- Design test strategies and validation plans for different projects.
- Guarantee the quality and reliability of HeartFocus on iOS/Android, HeartFocus Portal and internal web applications.
- Collaborate with product owners, software developers, and regulatory experts to develop and carry out thorough testing and validation plans.
- Implement test automation for mobile and web applications.
- Mentor a more junior colleague or an apprentice or intern.
Key responsibilities
- Leading & organize the test team activities
- Design, develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for DESKi's software products, covering functional, performance, and regulatory requirements
- Create and maintain test regulatory documents: test plans, test reports
- Collaborate with the development team to identify and document software defects, design flaws, and work closely to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform manual testing of software applications to ensure accuracy, stability, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Design and maintain test environments replicating real-world scenarios and conditions of use.
- Design and create automated tests with software developers
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure that our testing practices remain aligned with best practices.
- Participate in reviews and drafting of regulatory requirements.
Your Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading a software testing and validation team
- Proven experience in software testing and validation in the medical devices industry or a similar regulated environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, FDA regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
- In-depth understanding of software testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright.
- Master Jira, XRay, Gherkin, Cucumber
- Familiarity with Confluence and Git.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Javascript, Python, Bash).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

- Compensation: €45,000 - €55,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
